Proceed from Glenties through Maas across the Gweebarra Bridge through Lettermacaward towards Dungloe, for a total of about 11 miles. Look out for a small shop ( store ), "Sweeneys", just on the corner of a left junction. Continue on the main road past the shop towards Dungloe for a further half mile with the wide sweep of Drumlaghdrid Hill on your left and the road stretching straight ahead. Take the first left turn straight up a narrow and bumby laneway, or park your car on the main road if you wish. About a quarter of a mile up the laneway you will see a pathway forking to the right. Do not drive onto this pathway or you will get “bogged down”!! Park your car about 50 yards further on and walk along the pathway for about a quarter of a mile until you come to quite a large area of uncut bog. Look for your plot towards the left of this area overlooking Trawenagh Bay.

If coming from Dungloe follow the Glenties road for about 5 miles until you see Drumlaghdrid Hill sweeping down to the road on the right hand side and the road stretching straight ahead. Take the first right turn up the hill as above.
